Como 1907 Women is delighted to announce the signing of Swiss international and reigning Vrouwen Eredivisie champion Riola Xhemaili from PSV Women.

The midfielder arrives on the shores of Lake Como after helping PSV Women lift the 2025–26 Vrouwen Eredivisie title, scoring 15 goals in 30 appearances during a standout campaign.

Xhemaili developed through the youth systems of Solothurn and Basel before making her senior debut with the latter. At just 18, she moved to Germany to join Freiburg, later representing Wolfsburg before initially joining PSV Women on loan for the 2024–25 season. Following a permanent move ahead of the 2025–26 campaign, she played a key role in the club's league-winning season.

An established Switzerland international, Xhemaili has earned 44 caps and scored 10 goals for her country, including finding the net at UEFA Women's EURO 2025. In Como, she will reunite with Technical Director Nils Nielsen, who previously coached her with the Swiss national team.

One of Switzerland's brightest young talents, Xhemaili adds proven international quality and championship-winning experience to Selena Mazzantini's squad ahead of the Club's historic first season in Serie A.

Heather O'Reilly, Head of Women's Football at Como 1907, stated: "We are thrilled that Riola is joining us. She is a proactive and brave player, a midfielder that can score goals and set them up. She is creative and strong and is a competitor. I can't wait to see her with the BiancoBlu."

On her arrival in Como, Riola Xhemaili said: "I'm very happy to be here, at this club and in this city. I see many important similarities between this club's vision and way of working and my own; I'm really looking forward to getting started."
