Como 1907 is pleased to announce the permanent signing of Spanish defender Andrés Cuenca from FC Barcelona. The 2007-born defender has signed a contract until 2030.
Cuenca developed through the academies of Avejoe, Villafranca, Córdoba and Sevilla before joining Barcelona’s La Masia in 2019.
He represented Barcelona in three UEFA Youth League campaigns and played an important role in the club’s 2024/25 title triumph, scoring in the final as the Under-19s defeated Trabzonspor 4–1. After becoming a regular for Barcelona Atlètic, he made his senior debut in the UEFA Champions League against Young Boys in 2024. He spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Sporting Gijón.
A composed and physical defender who is confident in possession, Cuenca has represented Spain from Under-15 to Under-20 level. His international experience includes the FIFA Under-17 and Under-20 World Cups, as well as European Championships at Under-17 and Under-19 level. Most recently, he helped Spain win the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
