The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 ended in emphatic fashion as Como secured a stunning 4-1 victory over Manchester United in front of their home fans.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, Nico Paz ignited the match just two minutes in with a curling left-footed strike past Lammens. From there, Cesc Fàbregas’s side took control, dictating possession and carving out chances with fluid, attacking football.
The Lariani doubled their lead early in the second half (49'). After a sharp combination between Da Cunha, Baturina, and Paz, the Argentine threaded a precise through ball to Douvikas. Facing Lammens one-on-one, Douvikas beat the Belgian goalkeeper with a mid-height right-footed finish to net his third goal of the tournament. Eight minutes later, Paz completed his brace. Dispossessing his marker on the wing, Como’s number 10 drove forward before tucking a precise left-footed effort inside the far post to make it 3-0.
Como kept their foot on the gas and added a fourth in the 76th minute, as Ramon rose to head home a pin-point cross from Kaiki.
In the 80th minute, Alberto Dossena made his Champions League debut, coming on to replace Máximo Perrone.
Manchester United pulled back a late consolation goal in the 90th minute through Joshua Zirkzee, bringing the final score to 4-1.
The Biancoblu capped off a dominant performance to claim all three points, taking their tally to six in the group phase. Up next, Como return to domestic action on Saturday, October 24, at 3:00 p.m., when they host Sassuolo at the Sinigaglia.
